History
Griffins are monstrous creatures, with the body of a gigantic feline (usually a lion, though sometimes reminiscent of a leopard or tiger) and the wings, head and claws of a bird of prey, implying that they are creatures created by the mutant energies of chaos.
Despite this, griffins have a reputation for being noble beasts. This is due to their proud and graceful demeanor and the fact that they are not uncontrolled killer beasts, but precise and lethal hunters. A griffin is capable of tearing its enemies apart with its powerful claws and strong beak. They are skilled and efficient fighters who do not kill indiscriminately, although they will not hold back when hunting or protecting their territories, regardless of whether the threat is a manticore or a lost traveler. They are fierce and ruthless against threats, but are not cruel by nature.
