History
These Elementals can move at will through any solid object constructed of stone or metal, as if it were not there, including fortifications, buildings, walls, and even the ground itself. If they wish, they can move through solid ground, moving underground from place to place and appearing suddenly and unexpectedly behind enemy lines, or inside a fortress.
Their only obstacles are barriers composed of an element other than earth, although they can pass under or around these barriers. For example, they can cross streams and rivers on stones that cross them or by tunneling under them, as long as they never lose contact with any element composed of earth or its derivatives; at least one part of the Elemental must always remain in contact with the ground or a solid building. If an Earth Elemental loses this connection, it turns to dust and is immediately destroyed.
